Abbey’s forklift in-attachment camera options help operators overcome visibility challenges that can make pallet handling difficult. Our HD Orlaco camera systems can be positioned in three different ways: carriage-mounted, in-mast, or fork-mounted. Each application gives the operator a different view, allowing the camera system to be matched to where greater visibility is needed.
Camera Placement.
Three positions, three views.
Carriage-mounted cameras provide a close view of the forks entering the pallet while keeping the camera protected on the carriage. In-mast cameras provide a wider view beyond the load, making them ideal for applications such as double-deep racking. Fork-mounted cameras provide the closest view of pallet entry, helping operators accurately align the forks before lifting.Â
At Abbey, our Orlaco cameras can be installed on the vast majority of attachment types, including double pallet handlers, paper roll clamps, fork clamps, rotators, and more.Â

Three Camera Positions.
Three separate camera positions resolve a variety of different visibility challenges.
Carriage-Mounted Cameras.
Carriage-mounted cameras show clear pallet entry from a reliably protected position.
In-Mast Cameras.
In-mast cameras provide a wider view beyond the front pallet, reducing risk of load or racking damage.
Fork-Mounted Cameras.
Fork-mounted cameras provide the most accurate view of fork/pallet entry.
HD Camera & RLED Monitor.
HD camera quality & RLED monitor ensure clear visuals to enable accurate fork/ load positioning.
Carriage Mounted Cameras.
Protected pallet entry.
Carriage-mounted cameras provide a close, clear view of the forks as they approach and enter a pallet. This gives operators much of the visibility associated with a fork-mounted camera, but with the camera positioned securely on the forklift carriage. From the cab, operators can see fork alignment more clearly and make adjustments before lifting the load.
The protected position makes carriage-mounted cameras particularly useful in busy warehouses and distribution centres where equipment regularly works around pallets, racking, and other potential hazards. They are a strong choice for operations that want a detailed pallet-entry view while keeping the camera away from the more exposed fork tips.
Accurate Fork Alignment.
Close pallet view helps operators align forks accurately.
Protected Mounting.
Protected mounting reduces exposure to knocks and impacts.
Confident Pallet Entry.
Clear fork visibility supports confident pallet entry.
Built for Busy Sites.
Ideal for busy warehouses and distribution centres around racking and pallets.
Adjust Before Lifting.
A clear view from the cab lets operators correct fork position before lifting.
In-Mast Cameras.
See beyond the load.
In-mast forklift cameras provide a wider, longer view through the mast and beyond the pallet being handled. This extended viewing angle gives operators greater awareness of the area behind the load, rather than focusing solely on the forks and pallet entry. It can help operators judge depth and available space when accessing pallets stored further into the racking.
This makes in-mast cameras particularly useful for double-deep racking, where a second pallet, racking, or wall may sit behind the load being picked. The additional sightline helps operators judge available space and position the load more accurately. This reduces the risk of the forks accidentally damaging pallets or racking behind the load. The in-mast cameras are well suited to high-density warehouses where deeper storage configurations make visibility from the cab difficult.
Wider View.
Wider camera view provides visibility beyond the load.
Protects Stored Pallets.
Longer sightline helps protect pallets stored behind.
Double-Deep Handling.
Extended visibility supports double-deep pallet handling.
Judge Depth & Space.
Better depth awareness helps operators judge the space available in the racking.
High-Density Storage.
Well suited to high-density warehouses where deeper storage limits cab visibility.
Fork Mounted Cameras.
The closest view.
Fork-mounted forklift cameras provide the closest possible camera view of the pallet handling process. Positioned directly on the forks, the camera gives operators a clear view along the fork and into the pallet opening. This helps them accurately judge fork position and alignment before engaging the load, particularly when the pallet is difficult to see from the cab.
Fork-mounted cameras are ideal for operations where precise pallet entry is the main visibility challenge, including high-level racking and closely positioned pallet loads. The direct fork-level view can make accurate positioning easier where conventional sightlines become restricted by the mast, load, or racking. For warehouses where operators regularly struggle to see the forks or pallet openings clearly, a fork-mounted camera provides the most direct view.
Direct Fork-Level View.
Fork-level camera gives a direct view into the pallet.
Precise Engagement.
Close-up visibility supports precise pallet engagement.
Fewer Mis-Entries.
Clear fork alignment reduces incorrect pallet entry.
High-Level Racking.
Ideal for high-level racking where pallet openings are hard to see from the cab.
See Past Obstructions.
Gives a clear view where the mast, load or racking blocks the operator’s sightline.
