Durwen Rotators

Common applications include manufacturing, recycling, food processing, waste handling, logistics and production environments where containers, bins, boxes or specialist loads need to be turned as part of the handling process. By adding rotation to the forklift truck, operators can complete these tasks more efficiently without relying on separate tipping equipment or manual handling.

The Durwen DG Rotator is built around a compact cast steel frame, helping to keep the attachment strong while maintaining a practical overall design. Its compact construction supports good visibility and helps reduce the impact on the forklift’s residual lifting capacity.

A key feature of the Durwen rotator range is the worm gear drive. This system is designed so that several teeth mesh at the same time during operation, helping to spread load forces and support a longer attachment service life. The DG model also includes a seal as standard, helping protect the rotator against the ingress of dirt and dust during everyday use.

If you require an attachment that can carefully empty containers, the DG-BK model incorporates hydraulically operated claws and a stabilising arm to securely hold the load during 360-degree rotation.

For applications requiring additional positioning flexibility, the DG-S Rotator includes constant sideshift of +/- 100 mm. This allows the operator to adjust the load laterally without repositioning the truck, supporting more accurate placement and improved efficiency during loading, unloading, and discharge operations.

Taking the versatility further, the DG-F model is dedicated to handling fish and seafood products, extending the rotator range beyond general industrial applications. Moreover, dedicated foundry versions of these rototars are also available, incorporating additional protection for high-heat forge and foundry environments where heat, dust and sparks place greater demands on the attachment.
